The most bizarre thing after the Janet Jackson “wardrobe malfunction” incident was someone explaining why it was so inappropriate and why such a large fine was warranted.
They said that a woman’s nipples were not appropriate for children.
A woman’s nipples. Not appropriate for children.
So we can sexualize womens’ bodies in media and advertising, especially their breasts, but if a woman tries to use her breast(s) for their original biologically intended purpose, it’s inappropriate? What is wrong with this picture?
